SUMMARY

Telephone and walk-in reception; assisting Contractor Service Team with sales reports and special order processing.  Updating inventory in system.  Assisting other areas of company, = as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include t= he following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

Answer telephones and direct calls to proper staff.

 

Greet and direct walk-in contractor and owner/builder customers.

 

Assist customers with questions about their orders and estimates.

 

Assist Contractor Service Team with sales leads.  Send marketing materials to prospe= ctive customers.  Track prospective = jobs, open jobs, and lost jobs and provide information to team.

 

Communicate effectively with customers and staff.

 

Become familiar with goods sold and construction termi= nologies.

 

Provide excellent customer service.

 

Assist in planning and coordinating contractor events,= as required.

 

Update inventory quantities after receiving inventory = audit reports from stores.  Communic= ate with store managers on any big discrepancies.  Participate in monthly shrink meeti= ngs.

None.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully= , an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);= or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Possess excellent communication skills.  Ability to read and comprehend sim= ple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspond= ence, with proper grammar and spelling. Ability to effectively communicate and clarify information by phone with people inside and outside the organizatio= n, in a friendly and professional manner.   Ability to perform highly det= ailed work with accuracy and speed.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all = units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percents.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry o= ut instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid California drivers license.=

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Experience with Microsoft Office and basic computer keyboarding skills.  Within a = short period of time this person must embrace our Triad software program
